Diets are great...they require you to eat right, exercise, and drink LOTS and LOTS of water. Drinking lots and lots of water can become...hmmm...boring--that pretty much describes it. For me my mind begins to think about the taste of a REAL coke--one without any carbs. Right, Kari. Those kind of cokes just don't exist. But there are options. Coke Zero comes close but not quite the same as a real Coca-Cola.
For me, Diet Coke is definitely out....except maybe Diet Coke with Lime. But then my face broke out in a bad way. Come to think of it I don't really think there is a "good way" your face can break out. I know none of my break outs are EVER in a "good way." I just wanted you to get the picture...the break out is not pretty.
Then there is Diet Dr. Pepper. Out of a can the taste is not that great, but out of a two-liter you have a nice option for all that water....and, my favorite, no carbs!! (That translates to "No Guilt"!) Until you drink from a two-liter that has a strong taste of aspartame. Yuck...
Awww...if it weren't for another of "My Favorite Things"...
Enter--Dr. Pepper Ten. Grant it they are not "carb free" but my body has proven over the last five months that it can handle three little-bitty carbs. Plus...when it hit the market there were coupons to try a free 2-liter. I almost bought every newspaper in the county to have enough to last forever...
I think you'll find the TV commercial (now on You Tube) quite comical. I found it rather biased....not every woman drinks diet drinks...at least those women lucky enough not to have to be on a diet.
Move over water--Hello, Dr. Pepper 10!
I am so with you on this! Diet 7Up (not Sierra Mist or Sprite) is my guilty pleasure. Half Diet 7Up and water and a tbsp. of so of lime juice. That way I get some water in my system, but it doesn't taste like water. I try, I really do, but I pretty much cannot get the 8 glasses of waters a day thing. Dr. Pepper 10 tastes about as real as you can get it, I think. I personally couldn't taste a difference. Ben likes it.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to try that! It sounds really good!!
