Operation: Bridal Shower...

Sorry for the three day hiatus. This weekend I was involved in "Operation: Bridal Shower" where a friend and I, armed with binder clips, white lights, wooden crates, yards of burlap, tree stumps, and those beautiful paper flowers from a previous post, "attacked" the Fellowship Hall. In just a few hours we went from "drab" to "fab"!
My students were happy to lend us a hand with chairs and tables as long as it meant NOT having to be in class...
So many ladies graciously stepped in to bring food to fill in our Sandwich Bar while some chose the more wild side by making recipes we had never tried before. I had my fingers crossed that there wouldn't be any of those epic Pinterest fails...
The table was a bounty of deliciousness from the veggie cups...
to the mixed fruit medleys to the individual Seven Layer Dips...
One word: YUM!!

And can I just rant and rave about the delicious mini cupcakes a talented young baker in our youth group made?
Just want to give you a drool-worthy, close up of these pint size Lemon-Strawberry, Coffee, and Italian Cream cupcakes...
Diet or no diet...I did eat one. Ok, so maybe it was two; but seriously, the whole thing was gone in like one bite. No harm, right?

It's always nice when ideas come together successfully, and ladies generously give of their time to help out. Just next time maybe I won't leave the receipt with the prices for the items in our "Let's Make A Deal" game...at home....on my counter...along with every other grocery list I write then walk out the door and forget. It makes things more exciting that way!

Overall? Operation: Bridal Shower was a rousing success! So happy for the soon to be Mr. & Mrs.!
Now, off to plan my next set of "maneuvers"....after a really, long nap!

Simply Satisfied,
