It's time: time to end another school year, time to un-decorate my classroom, time to finalize grades and record them, time to celebrate hard work, time to say good-bye to those beginning a new chapter in their life...time, time, time.
Right now all I can think about is falling into bed and sleeping the summer away! Three glorious months of no 5:45 AM alarm and no mad rushes to get out the door. No double checking to make sure uniforms are correct and that they are long enough, papers are all signed, homework is complete, and that everyone has EVERYTHING.
Time to relax, kick up my feet, stay in bed a little longer in the mornings, and stay up a little later in the evenings.
I love summer almost as much as I like fall. And that in itself says alot!
And with all this time, it's time to celebrate another year of life. Yes, I'm celebrating being...
For the last nine years on May 22nd I perpetually turn twenty-nine. Funny how that number really never changes.
Well, in my mind anyway...but I have heard that as you get older, your mind is the first to go. At least I think that's what they say. I forget.
I guess that means it's time to let my mind just be.
I may have a few things planned for the summer: like cleaning out some closets, actually getting my entire house cleaned at one time and not in shifts, catching up on laundry, reading a few books, drinking a few cups of coffee...I like this list more and more!
Anything planned for you during the summer months? I'd like to hear! Maybe I can add some of those to my list too!
Simply Sittin' Back Gettin' Ready to Relax,
I agree on the closets! There is also that perpetual pile of sewing, garden work, and crochet projects. For every one thing I finish, there are ten more waiting!
ReplyDeleteThat's one bad thing about lists: they never end!!
