You may or may not have noticed my absence over the last few months. Our family covered alot of ground during that time. My hubby and I celebrated thirteen years of marriage, we traveled to and from Texas for a family reunion, I overindulged on treats and all things delicious during the holidays, began two workouts a day (that's fun)...we seemingly slid right through January and into my baby's sixth birthday.
My how the time flies.
I didn't realize that it had been five months since my last post until I had a dear friend ask if I could fill in for her on her blog as she recovered from a car accident and the surgery that followed. While very humbling (it's hard to fill in for a fantastic writer) it was also rather terrifying. It has seriously been a while since I've written anything, and I was feeling rather...rusty.
So today was my first post over at LOL in Ministry entitled Monday Mirror.
It's rather an honest take on the reason for stepping away for five months...on how I needed desperately to rearrange my priorities, and just get back to the basics. Once the basics were back in alignment, my entire perspective changed about circumstances around me.
As with anything that God brings into our lives, there are always lessons to be learned. These in turn have led to one of the two classes I'll be teaching at the Ladies Array coming up at our church in April. This means over the next few weeks I'll be sharing snippets here and there of what the Lord has taught me concerning what it means to truly love: my hubby, my children, the brethren, my neighbor.
I'm hoping you'll come back, check out the posts, and leave a comment.
But for now, head on over to LOL in Ministry for their latest post. And thank you to those who left a comment. They were such an encouragement!
Simply Being,
