A Happy July 4th to you! May you're day be filled with great barbecue, sweet fellowship, and awesome displays of fireworks. Here's a little of what we did this morning:
On any patriotic holiday the main street of our city is lined with both American AND Texas flags. They're synonymous you know: Texas and America. Kind of like Texas and football. Or Texas and barbecue.
I took this picture while the kids and I waited for the parade to start. My kids were so excited for another chance at collecting candy from the floats...
Can you just imagine what they're thinking?
Yay! Let's watch a parade and fill up on sugar!! At least that's what I was thinking...
We didn't have long to wait for the parade to start with Texas City's finest policemen, firefighters, and paramedics leading the way...
This was a fabulous way to start our holiday. Now for some grillin' out and fireworks...
