Just A Sock...

I was always under the impression that my dryer was responsible for all the mismatched socks I have accumulating in my laundry room. A few hours ago, my husband proved me wrong...it was my washing machine.

This is not a joke. I repeat, this is not a joke.

On a hunch my husband  tipped our broken washing machine (from my post Insanity Reigns Supreme), took off the drain pump near the front, and promptly found a sock firmly wedged inside...

This is a snapshot of the cause of all my insanity.

After clearing out the blockage and re-attaching the drain pump, my washing machine works like a charm. I even did two loads of laundry...because the previous four done at my mom's house just weren't enough.

So if you find yourself missing a sock here and there after doing laundry, never fear. Your washing machine probably ate it.
