Kinda Sorta...

This has been my life since our family suffered from the flu. For the first five weeks, my dear hubby and I were going great guns: back on the Keto train, working out five days a week, losing inches (not weight), feeling great about myself.

Then WHAM! Down with the flu for six days and it was back to whatever sounded good. Oatmeal cream pie look good?

Mmmm....nom, nom, nom...Thanks! It was.

Or there was this...

What?!?! You bought me gummy worms because I don't feel good? Best. Hubby. EVER!!

That was four weeks ago.

So yeah...I sorta work out but I also don't say "No" when someone offers me cookies, because you know, that would just be rude.

But last weekend we took a trip to Sam's Club to pick up pecans (for snacking), Orangeades (they're sugar free and oh so good!), and then these...
One thing about being on Keto is that it's so easy to get tired of eating  scrambled eggs. I seriously needed a different option for breakfast because not eating was not an option.

Ever heard of the Incredible Hulk? When I'm hungry, I start to resemble him...it's a scary-close resemblence.

What I did find is that these have a net carb count of 3 grams; and with the 30 grams of protein, I can actually make it to lunch without eating my fridge because it takes too long to open the door to get the food out.
Atkins shakes from Walmart have only 15 grams of protein so they didn't stay with me through to lunch. AND...I can drink it on the way to school, at my desk, or right as my students are coming into class.

We're giving the scrambled eggs a rest for now but still keeping it under my daily carb count, and enjoying the delicious taste.
