Kroger's $5 off 10 Participating Items...

Kroger has a new Mega Savings Event going right now from October 31, 2012, through November 14, 2012, for us here in the Texas/Louisiana region. When you buy 10 participating items you will get $5 automatically discounted at the register.

I was pretty pumped about this shopping trip for two reasons. First, I've been away from couponing whole-heartedly for the last six weeks, and I'm having symptoms of withdrawal...kind of like when I haven't had coffee in the morning. Secondly, Coupons.com (under zip 77477) is loaded with fresh new coupons that coincided with this savings event.

So off to Kroger we went this morning with a stack of freshly printed and clipped coupons tucked inside my list.  This is what I came out with (after I did the Huggies deal posted HERE in which I bought two Goodnights and one Huggies wipes package, earning $5 off my next purchase....this was my next purchase!)...

I made a counting error according to my coupons on the Campbell's Cream of Chicken and Mushroom and ended up paying $.50 each on two of the cans instead of the reduced price. It's called "Shopping with Kids while Couponing." 

Overall I spent $49.84, earned $1.75 back in catalina (explained HERE) good on my next purchase; while saving $40.05! AWESOME!! Yeah, Baby! I'm back and boy, does it feel good!!
