I'm at it once again...scrolling through Pinterest during a moment of peace and quiet. In other words, the kids were in bed and I was getting ready to head there myself. I found this quote that I pinned, thinking that one day I will have it printed and framed to hang in my children's room. I don't know who wrote it but whoever they were, my hats off to them. My Promise to My Children

I am not your friend.

I am your Mom.

I will stalk you,

Flip out on you,

Drive you insane,

Be your worst nightmare,

And hunt you down like a bloodhound when needed

Because I LOVE YOU!

When you understand that,

I will know you are a responsible adult.

You will NEVER find someone

Who loves, prays, cares and worries about you

more than I do!

You may be thinking right now that you're glad I'm not your Mom. But as a mom I've been given a grave responsibility to nurture and train my children for the honor and glory of God. This is my creed, my promise to them that because I love them, I will seek to do what is best for them, just like a mom should!
