Crispy Cheddar Crisps...

Lately I've had a snack craving at night once the kids have been put to bed. Pecans are one of my go-to's but I wanted something cheesy! What's even more awesome is that these taste just like Cheez-Its, just minus all the added carbs.

So here are two recipes I have tried and liked; but I'd have to admit that the second one will be the recipe I turn to the most.

First...
Sargento Cheez-Its

What You Will Need:
  • One Package Sargento Ultra Thin (I used regular) Sharp Cheddar Cheese Slices
  • Pizza cutter
  • Cookie sheet lined with parchment
What You Will Do:
  • Using the pizza cutter, cut each cheese slice into four smaller squares. Place on parchment paper, as many as will fit on the pan.
  • Bake at 300 degrees F for 30 minutes.
  • Let cool so they will be crispy.

Second, and my favorite...
Crispy Cheddar Crisps

What You Will Need:
  • 4 Tablespoons Cheddar Cheese, shredded (I used a large cookie sheet so I was able to get six Tablespoons to fit)
What You Will Do:
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • On a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, drop a tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese into four (or six) separate piles. Make sure they have two inches between them .
  • Bake in the oven for roughly 10-15 minutes. You want to look for a golden color around the edges.
  • Pull out of oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
  • Loosen from the cookie sheet  and ENJOY!

Macro/Nutrition for the crisps are as follows: 4 crisps comes out roughly to 110 calories, 0 net carbs, 9 grams of fat, 0 grams of fiber, and 7 grams of protein per serving.

Head on over to No Bun Please for the printable recipe and any other information you would need.

And seriously, enjoy! These are really good!

  1. I love these. I use pepper jack cheese for a bit of heat. They really satisfy my crunchy needs.
