New Blog on the Block...

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine asked me why I blog. In all honesty, I had to think about it for a minute.

Many years ago when I was a stay-at-home mom of two kiddos under two, I would spend the early morning hours of quietness (the time between sending my hubby off to work and the kids waking up), scouring the internet printing coupons, checking out store deals, and planning my shopping trips.
I LOVED couponing! In fact, I was so into couponing, that my dear Hubby bought me a coupon organizer notebook for an anniversary gift. I sure treasured that three ring binder.
My pastor's wife encouraged me to post the deals that I found, since I shared my finds with anyone who would listen, and voila! This blog was born.

You could always take a trip down memory lane by clicking on some of the labels to left entitled Kroger (TX/LA)...or HEB (Texas City)...or CVS to see some of my deals. Those were the days.

I once had a trip to Target where I spent $35 and saved over $100! Definitely an Extreme Couponer in training.

But then the Lord called my hubby into the ministry. We soon put our house up on the market, packed our belongings, and moved twelve hours away...and life changed completely.

Now I teach and use Kroger Clicklist for my groceries. I never would have thought how much I would enjoy having someone else do my shopping for me!

So since everything has changed so drastically in the past few years, what do I write about now?

Well, it's still about the simple things that make life easier. Whether it be easy and yummy recipes, cleaning/organizing shortcuts, things that strike me funny, or thoughts from the heart (Have you checked out this new label yet? You totally should!), I'm still all about simple.

Why? Because it's so easy to overthink things and make something simple...complicated.

Now I'm happy to pass on that there is a new blogger on the block. You may remember me writing a post or two about the importance of skincare. You may also remember me mentioning Martha, an independent consultant, who is responsible for my transition into using healthier products. She's also a registered nurse...meaning, many mom's in our church (including myself) have called her a time a two to ask her for some form of medical advice.

She's also been encouraged to share what she knows and answer any questions...skincare, medical...whatever. Click HERE to check out Martha, May I?

Now, off to take a "walk" down memory lane by reading posts from way, WAY back (January of 2012 to be exact). Want a good laugh? Come check it out with me.

Simply Simple,
