Scrambled Schedule....

My, how the summer flew by! I started August preparing my classroom for the first day of school before our entire family...nieces, nephews, grandparents included...headed off on a week vacation in Tennessee.
We had a grand time roaming around Pigeon Forge, eating fantastic food, exploring Dollywood, and vegging out together in the cabin we rented. This all made for some great memories.

But as soon as we came back... BAM! School started...

My oldest is now in sixth grade and is just a short time away from junior high....YIKES!!
My daughter is in fifth and is just thrilled (heavy on the sarcasm) that she now shares a classroom with her brother...
She recently celebrated her tenth birthday and surrendered her life for full-time Christian service.

And then there's my baby...
This little guy started kindergarten, and I can positively say he is LOVIN' it!

Mom on the other hand is so sad to see him grow up!

There's always a time of transition from a summer of no schedule to the school year with a strict regimen. I've had to take a few weeks from writing to work out the kinks in what is working for us and the things that could possibly make me go insane...all before I leave the house in the morning.

It probably hasn't helped that I've been finishing up physical therapy for my finger, starting back to playing the piano at church, and seeing a specialist for some blood tests that came back irregular. Nothing like going to a cancer center to put things into perspective.

Good news is that I do NOT have cancer. I have, however, started taking iron tablets to bring my levels to a a more reasonable level.

So please pardon my absence. It was much needed as we get back into the swing of things.

My question for you is, what have you been up to? Fix a cup of coffee and let's have a chat!

Simply Remaining Simple,

  1. What a wonderful family photo. Looks like all had so much fun. I am praying your next set of blood tests come out fine. Love you all!
