Someone asked me recently what it was like to do remote learning in our home.
Well, the most important thing I learned through the month of December was that we had really, really great internet! With three kids, in three different rooms of the house on their own devices, and myself set up in the living room on my laptop, we are definitely testing the limits of my internet speed.
I've also had some..."help" in the form of the fury sixth member of our family.
Whether it was napping on my bed I had just vacated...
...and I'm being dead serious when I say she was literally frozen in this position...
,..to checking out my lesson plans for the day...
...to viewing the world from a much higher vantage point......she was definitely happy that we were home with her.
She also kept a lookout for nefarious activity...
...giving new meaning to the label, Neighborhood Watch.
What I haven't included is videos from when she played with my feet while I was teaching (with the her claws out) or when she photobombed my classes, giving my students something to watch and look forward to. From climbing to her perch on the back of my chair to swinging the painting over my couch in the background of my government class, we've never lacked for entertainment.
Now we're back in the classroom, and she's left at home....alone.
Good thing, too. She needs to time to recooperate from all that bonding.
Simply,
