Easy Raised Fathead Rolls...

Want a yummy roll to go along with your dinner tonight? I sure did and the recipe below did NOT disappoint! I may even be as bold to state that they tasted very, VERY similar to Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits.

How is that possible, you may ask? Seriously, there's no bread and last night for dinner my husband and I practically wrestled our oldest for the last roll! We used our rolls to make a pork chop sandwich.

Delicioso! (Have to get my Spanish practice in before I teach it again this next school year.)

Definitely seeing more sandwiches in our future.

If you checked out my post on Fathead Pizza you'll notice the similarities between the prep with just a few added ingredients. The end result hit the bread tooth!

So without further ado....

What You Will Need:

  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup almond flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
What You Will Do:
  • Preheat the oven to 425 F.
  • In a small bowl, add cream cheese and mozzarella. Microwave on high for 20 seconds at a time until melted.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk egg until beaten. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Work mozzarella/cream cheese mixture into dough. Dough will be sticky. Stir in cheddar cheese.
  • Spoon dough onto plastic wrap. Dust the top of it with almond flour. Fold the plastic wrap over the dough and gently start working into a ball. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
  • Cut dough ball into 4. Roll each section into a ball. Cut the ball in half. This is your top and bottom bun.
  • Sit cut side down on parchment paper or very well greased sheet pan. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden and set up.
Check out the printable recipe and nutrition info from How To This and That...and as always, if you try this out, I'd love to hear how it went!
