To Coaster or Not to Coaster...

Please excuse my absence. I had all intentions of sitting down and sharing photos with you on Wednesday, but ended up trying to recover from our trip to Six Flags the day before. In all that roller coaster riding I learned something about myself and my kiddos.

I'll start with the kids first. This is us in line to get on our first ride of the day, The Georgia Scorcher...
As you can tell from my son's face, he wasn't too sure about this. My two babies had never ridden a roller coaster before and we were breaking them in on one of the best. It's kind of like You don't know how to swim? We'll throw you in. It's sink or swim.

It was as good as I remembered...only one slight problem: my motion sickness was back.

We headed off to our second coaster and my son cried and cried as we waited to start up the track. I kept thinking This is going to be a LONG day. But by the third time riding it (his choice), he was all smiles...
...and I was out for the day. So sad! I absolutely love a good roller coaster!! But when you weigh the options of either passing out or enjoy the view from the ground below, I went with the second.

And this little guy conquered his fear by riding in the front with Daddy...
We are so very proud of him...

After riding the tallest and fastest coaster in the park (aptly named Goliath), my daughter decided the kiddie roller coasters were more her speed. She even talked her brother into riding one with her...
...although he did say it was rather lame after the Big Kid coasters he'd been riding all day.

As for the memories, both good and bad? They were priceless...
