Comfortability...

Someone once said: Great things never came from comfort zones.

I'm not quite sure about this. Personally I love comfort zones. They are so...well, comfortable. Who here likes being uncomfortable, like, ever?  I  believe you can still learn new things while being comfortable.  Here's some prime examples of things I learned this week while being in said zone:
  •  Honey-colored highlights are my new favorite hair color! They blend so naturally with my brown hair and the grays are now gone for another six months.
  • Fathead Pizza dough is much more like original pizza dough if you use regular shredded mozzarella cheese instead of finely shredded. Big difference in texture and even taste!
  • My thyroid medicine is for the birds! After going cold-turkey three days ago, my anxiety is gone, my blood pressure is lower, and my brain has never been clearer. It's so time for a change. (day3nomedicine is my hashtag for the day...and I don't even do Twitter!
As for the more "uncomfortable" situations that have opened the door for great things, these have revolved around the saga: "How the Refrigerator Turns." Drama, drama, drama. Who would have thought a refrigerator dying would almost feel like the end of the world.

Insert next quote: One of the best lessons you can learn in life is to master how to remain calm.

There was not much of that going on 'round here.

But then this came into our lives...
WAY better than the last one. After a dismal report from the appliance repairman, I went on a mission to solve our refrigeration problem. First stop: the clearance section at Lowe's

Don't laugh...this beauty was marked down over 50% off!! Brand new...just without the box. What is it with boxes and markdowns anyways? (See Happiness Is...)

So with some added discounts due to my hubby being a veteran and a computer print-out problem on their part when we went to pick it up, the savings were unbelievable!

See the storage?
And then the freezer...
It's so clean and organized....and this will be the last time you'll see pictures. This won't last long no matter how hard I try.

So, great things going on here. What about with you? Been out of your comfort zone lately? Well, if the sayings are true, remain calm. Great things are just around the corner.

  1. I hate getting out of my comfort zone! And I now have extreme refrigerator envy.
