These are best known as "learning curves" that only come from living life. Yay for us, right?
Wrong!
So besides leaving the answers to my bridal shower game at home this past weekend and having to individually type in each item on the Walmart App, here are few other learning curves that I have "enjoyed" these last few days:
First, Dead Sea Mud Masks are GREAT for the skin. My face has never felt smoother...and my kids have never been more traumatized. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever done any kind of facial masks when they've been around. If only I would have had a camera to capture the horrified expressions on their faces when they came into the kitchen where I was working.
Priceless!
Next, senior pictures are such a fun thing to shoot...
...with my camera of course. The $400 camera my husband gifted me a few years ago. The camera my four year old wanted to use to snap his own set of "Senior Pictures". I caught him several times changing settings, adjusting the lens, trying to pick the camera up...my horrified expression went far beyond the one my kids were wearing while I was sporting my mud mask!
A slow-motion N-n-n-n-o-o-o-o! would be appropriate right about now.
I knew he could be photogenic when he wanted to be...
Want being the optimal word!
Thirdly, rushing into Walmart for a few things does not always end well. Take for instance this last week when I was running low on my sugar free coffee syrup (see A Coffee Make Over). I thought I grabbed the right salted caramel Torani bottle. At first glance the labels all look the same, but it wasn't until four days later that I actually looked at the label.
It was NOT sugar free. I basically had been drinking my daily allowance of carbs in one cup of coffee...and I drink two cups a day.
Way to go, Girl! Sabotage yourself!
Needless to say I have not weighed-in this week. I'm afraid what the scale might read.
But I am enjoying my new coffee mug that a dear friend brought back from her latest trip to Texas...
It makes me feel slightly better.
And lastly (for now), there is no adjective that describes what it felt like to go four days without Almond Joy Fat Bombs. They are the perfect sweet to my sweet tooth.
My husband ate the last one this past weekend and between the bridal shower, church, and senior pictures, I had NO time to make a new batch.
I will try to never make that mistake again.
